The mission of the Bluegrass Heritage Museum is to bring the history of the Bluegrass Region of Kentucky to life.

The museum collects, preserves and exhibits objects valuable to the history of Winchester, Clark County and the surrounding area known as the Bluegrass. The museum educates visitors about the region's people and culture. It showcases artifacts and events and the influence of the Bluegrass Region upon the history of America.
