In addition to visiting the resort on Mackinac Island, this Summer Edition features another famous resort in French Lick, Indiana where Model A Ford devotees hold their annual gathering. There is also an old fashioned 4th of July celebration complete with marching bands and a patriotic music concert on the courthouse square.

TIME CAPSULE: Hundreds of Model A Fords descended on French Lick, Indiana for the national convention of the Model A Restorers' Club. Owners displayed a wide variety of model styles, including vehicles that were adapted into the trucks and utility vehicles.

| SUMMER FEATURE: "Our American Pride is Showing," read one of the signs at Hamilton, Ohio's July 4th Parade. Red, white and blue banners and bunting seemed to be everywhere at the daylong event, typical of Independence Day celebrations across the land.
