The Daniel Boone Pioneer Festival

The festival started in 1975 with a few local artists displaying their artwork around the courthouse. In the early 1980's they showed their work inside the firehouse before it became city hall. It eventually grew into an art and craft festival with people setting up tables, evolving into what it is now, 100 booths with local and out of state artisans.

The Guild collects the proceeds, which are used to support local art projects in Clark County.

Festival hours 9-6 on Saturday and 10-5 on Sunday. There is a free shuttle to downtown from Robert Campbell Junior High School,

To financially support activities the guild has sponsored the Arts and Crafts booths at the Daniel Boone Pioneer Festival. Guild members started displaying art around the court house square in 1975 and the festival grew from those humble beginnings. Thousands of people come to Winchester Labor Day weekend for the festivities that include music, food, Arts and Crafts on Saturday and Sunday. For the first time in 2021 the Festival was held in Downtown Winchester, and will continue in downtown in 2022.
