BIG BLUE ROUTE FRANKFORT - LEXINGTON via The Bluegrass Ultra-Transit System (BUS)
Beginning Monday, May 23, 2011, service is offered Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. — 7:05 p.m. There will be no service on New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day. The Bluegrass Ultra-transit Inclement Weather policy will he followed for this service. When limited service is called, it will depend on the road conditions whether or not this service will be canceled.
Riders will need to be at one of the designated stops by no later than the scheduled departure times. Fare is $5.00 per person one way, or $10.00 per person, round trip.
Buses will depart from the Frankfort, Clinton St. Transit Stop at 8:30 a.m., 2:15 p.m,, and 4:55 p.m. and from the Frankfort Kohl's at 8:42 a.m., 2:27 p.m.. and 5:08 p.m. Lexington stops will be made at the Blue Grass Airport, LexTran, and the Greyhound Bus Terminal. Luggage and packages are allowed on these routes. The driver is not allowed to handle personal items (with the exception of luggage).
Only those persons taken to Lexington from our area of operation will be picked up in Lexington to be transported back to Frankfort.
